Sell it faster.
Some helpful tips for selling your home.
As noted on the infographic, prices are up (which is great!) But that doesn't guarantee a bidding war or instant sale. Buyers are educated; here are a few things I can help you with:
- CLEAR THE CLUTTER
Don't take it personally, but your beautiful personal possessions can actually distract a buyer. Think of the most beautiful model home you've ever seen, in a magazine or on a home tour, or even a hotel where you may have stayed and thought "I want to live here!" Other than minimal family photos, there isn't much stuff. This is for a few reasons.
1. you want a buyer to see themselves in the home. They should see themselves enjoying a family dinner, not the current family. They may feel like they're invading another's beloved space, and you will want buyers to see it as their opportunity for their beloved space.
2. maximize the space by allowing "room to breathe". Your furniture and accessories can highlight the layout, floorplan and space in your home.
3. you're moving! Get a head start on boxing up things you won't need in the near future.
I love helping in this area! I have had training as a space planner and work closely with staging experts. Depending on your specific needs we'll make your home look magazine-cover-ready!
- DON'T KEEP SECRETS
Honesty is the best policy. Everything ends up being found out, best to be up front! We'll work with your reality.
- REMODELING ISN'T ALWAYS RIGHT
Before tackling a lazy river throughout your property, let's sit down and talk about where to allocate your remodeling funds. Some projects have a minimal return on your investment, and as a seller, you want to be sure you get the maximum out of what you put in.
- IT'S TIME TO FIX IT.
Know your budget, and we'll work out a plan. Simple as that! I have a contact for every task that may need to be handled. The more we discuss, the more smoothly your listing will go, and in turn, result in a fast sale!
These are some main topics we will discuss in our initial listing meeting. I'm on your team, and together we'll make this sale!
